Ultrasound measurements offer objective and reproducible methods to measure the fetal head station. This study aimed to use ultrasound measurements to describe the fetal head descent as labor progressed through the active phase in nulliparous women with spontaneous onset of labor. Nulliparous women with a single fetus in cephalic presentation and spontaneous labor onset at a gestational age of 37 weeks were eligible. The ultrasound-measured fetal head station was associated with the delivery mod

Mapping visual pathways during brain surgeries were feasible. Subcortical-cortical evoked potentials were measured in 12 patients for stimulation of the optic radiation, Meyer's loop, or optic nerve. The minimum distances from the stimulation locations were evaluated postoperatively. Stimulation elicited SCEPs when the visual tracts were close (4.5mm) Short latency responses were found in agreement with fast conduction of the visual pathways connecting myelinated fibers.

Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is commonly experienced in children. P-CIN is an electronic measure for assessing CIPN in children who received neurotoxic chemotherapy. For 9 of 14 items, responses ranged from 0 to 4 or 5 for toe numbness and pick up a coin and three of four pain items were 0 to 3.
The SMART protocol consists of a short accelerated course of radiotherapy followed by extrapleural pneumonectomy. Patients received 25 Gy in five daily fractions over 1 week to the entire ipsilateral hemithorax. 47% of patients had 30-day perioperative grade 3–4 events

Inclusion body myositis is most frequent in patients older than 50 years. In this pilot study, we aimed to test the efficacy of sirolimus in patients with the disease. The study was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, proof-of-concept, phase 2b trial. Canker sores were the most frequent side-effect and were mainly mild or moderate in ten patients.

Anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity (AIC) is a serious adverse effect among cancer patients. The central mechanism of AIC is irreversible mitochondrial damage. Animals receiving RIPC before doxorubicin (RIPC-Doxo) had a significantly higher LVEF at Week 16 than those treated with no pretreatment (Untreated-Dxo) This was mainly due to conserved regional contractile function.
