Evidence for vertical transmission of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is not well established. Of 336 newborns screened for COVID-19, only 15 were positive for throat swab RT-PCR. Of those 15, only five neonates were delivered by cesarean section.
