Influence of methodological and patient factors on serum NMDAR IgG antibody detection in psychotic disorders: a meta-analysis of cross-sectional and case-control studies
Antibodies targeting the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) have been detected in patients with psychosis. It is unclear whether these antibodies are more common in patients than controls. The effects of illness stage and study quality were not consistent across study designs.
Sensory and Motor Axonal Excitability Testing in Early Diabetic Neuropathy
The study aims to gain insight into the pathophysiology of diabetic polyneuropathy. One hundred and eleven types 2 diabetics with and without DPN were compared. Patients were compared by the likelihood of neuropathy presence. No changes in hyperpolarising threshold electrotonus or recovery cycle parameters. Sensory excitability showed even fewer changes despite pronounced sensory NCS abnormalities.
Fetal descent in nulliparous women assessed by ultrasound: a longitudinal study
Ultrasound measurements offer objective and reproducible methods to measure the fetal head station. This study aimed to use ultrasound measurements to describe the fetal head descent as labor progressed through the active phase in nulliparous women with spontaneous onset of labor. Nulliparous women with a single fetus in cephalic presentation and spontaneous labor onset at a gestational age of 37 weeks were eligible. The ultrasound-measured fetal head station was associated with the delivery mod
